Currently Deputy Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Fong-chin Su is Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Secretary General and President-elect of World Association for Chinese Biomedical Engineers (2015-17), Councilor of World Council of Biomechanics (2014-26), and Founding Councilor of Asian-Pacific Association for Biomechanics. He is actively involved in biomechanics-related activities. In addition, he was the congress chair of several international conferences. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Rochester, USA in 1989 with major in solid mechanics and biomechanics.
