Professor Bundhit Eua-Arporn has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and a PhD in Electrical Energy Systems from the Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine at the University of London, awarded in 1992. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University from 2014 to May 2016, when he was appointed as the president of Chulalongkorn University (CU).

In 2015, he worked closely with engineering alumni to establish an innovation club and set up the CU Innovation Hub in 2016. CU is hosting the Siam Innovation District, with strong support from both the government and the private sectors. Its role is to drive innovation and startups in Thailand and it will be open to the general public by December 2017.
